Doug is an avid boater, growing up on the lakes in North Georgia where he learned to water ski at the age of 7. He was forced to Captain the boat after his Father had a near death skiing experience with his mom at the helm.

He received a Degree in Mechanical Engineering while also earning his ASE Master Technician Certification in 1989.

He spent several years in the racing industry finally leaving in 2001.

Moving his wife and himself to St Thomas for 5 years, he found himself dreaming of one day living on a Catamaran and sailing the islands.

He has an extensive history of boat ownership, not only powerboats in GA. and FL. but also sailing on small lakes in Maine with family.

After raising a family but before retirement, he purchased a 2018 Lagoon 380 catamaran in which they lived on full time for 3 1/2 years. All of which has led to the desire to become a Yacht Broker and help others achieve the same dream.
