Boat Description

The Aquila 48 was named one of "Worlds Best Catamarans" by PMY Magazine. You will quickly notice the attention to innovative design, detail and quality in all areas of the yacht. Pleasing modern lines set the Aquila 48 in a league of her own and moving around this boat is a breeze for people of all ages and abilities.

Aft, a lifting platform provides excellent access to the ocean, dinghy and water toys. Custom cradle for the Seadoo Spark 3-up. Stainless steel vertical posts support the flybridge extension and incorporate stainless steel dinghy davits which are operated with an electric motor. There is also a hydraulically operated swim platform between the hulls. It lowers to the water level, for relaxing in chairs or for easy launching of tenders.

A fiberglass ‘hard top’ bimini covers the large flybridge. A stairway directly from inside the salon and two stairways forward give access to the flybridge with a large entertainment and dining area,  built-in grill and wet bar under a hardtop bimini. An ergonomically designed steering console position with modern navigation equipment centered forward of the flybridge.

Higher spec Volvo D6 engines, Northern lights generator, 100 gpd Spectra commercial water maker with 50% greater capacity, Raymarine electronics MFD & autopilot. Boat is well built, CE certified for the top level of blue-water safety. Open galley, large salon and direct pass through to the forward covered cockpit area. Great breeze pass- through. Isolated generator between the hulls. Heads on the outside of the hulls to vent smells away. Four equal cabins with private head and separate dry showers. Flybridge with table and sun loungers, aft hydraulic swim platform are unparalleled to enjoy sun and sports or hold a tender. Planing hull and large D6 commercial Volvo engines push the boat up on plane and allow for fast cuising in the high teens but economical cuising at slower speeds.

The Aquila 48 is well constructed, heavier than most in this class, with extra stiffening, extra support, even "crush" compartments at each end of the bows. Excellent engine room access with space all around for ease of maintenance. This yacht also features Stainless steel deck railings.

This boat has been continuously maintained and upgraded by this 2nd owner. Electronics are upgraded and includes: new digital yacht AIS receiver integrated with Axiom 9 MFD. New custom tinted Strataglass helm windshield with custom covers.
